This ribbon will print approximately 500 full color images. It is designed for the HDP5000 retransfer printer. This is a single side print ribbon. It will print a full color image on the card using Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and Black. You get high quality prints and brilliant colors with retransfer printing!

There are benefits to retransfer printing over direct to card printing. The first benefit is better tamper evidence. The retransfer film gives your card a solid layer of print. If some one tampers with that layer it is clearly visible. Second, you get true edge to edge printing. The film covers the entire side of the card and eliminates the slight edge that is sometimes visible with direct to card printing. Third, retransfer film works to mask any imperfections in the card. Uneven surfaces can result with proximity cards and the solid layer of film can hide these imperfections where direct-to-card printing can highlight them.
